Kyshik: technology for protection, not surveillance
Why stray animal counting should begin with privacy, not publishing exact coordinates.
Kyshik is designed to help people recognize repeat sightings while keeping sensitive location data inside the staff system.
Exact coordinates can put animals at risk. The public site therefore shares aggregate impact and adoption listings, while precise locations are restricted to authorized staff.
We want the data to support care and humane planning. A location should help a field team return safely, not become a public target.
